I spent about 30 years in petroleum geology at the Kansas Geological Survey and then at Exxon. I am now returning to my passion of doing fundamental research on the evolution of basin fills, and passing along my knowledge to the next generation of geoscientists.
I am currently researching the evolution of the western Black Sea, and in particular the origin and structure of the Danube Deep Sea fan.
Other interests include the method of interpreting ancient depositional environments, and petroleum geology.
PhD in Geosciences from Indiana University , Bloomington, Indiana , 1987
